We’re thrilled to share the success of our 1st AWCPMS Patient Wellbeing Day, held on 17th October 2025 at the All Nations Centre. The event was a heartfelt celebration of our patients, their journeys, and the dedicated teams supporting them.
Ms Jody Louise Parker opened the day with inspiring remarks, setting a tone of positivity and purpose. Attendees described the sessions as “informative,” “insightful,” and “uplifting.” One participant shared:
“I’m so grateful for a second chance at life… the dedication of this team is incredible.”
Highlights included a powerful story from Victoria & Lee, praised as “emotional” and “resilient,” and expert talks on HIPEC, Radiology, Nutrition, and Art Therapy. Our Chief Executive - Mrs Suzanne Rankin's presence added warmth and encouragement.
The day featured complementary therapies, a moving choir performance, and impactful awareness talks by representatives from Bowel Cancer UK and Macmillan, highlighting the importance of education and support available to patients.
The day ended with reflections and suggestions for future events, including more interactive sessions and peer support. One attendee summed it up:
“Glad I attended… it was great to connect and share experiences.”
Thank you to everyone who made this day so special. We look forward to many more moments of compassion and collaboration.
